Specialist drilling waste management company, TWMA, has reached 12 months lost time incident (LTI) free operations.

The milestone, which is equivalent to more than two million man-hours, encompasses 11 bases across the UK, US, Middle East and Africa where a total of more than 700 staff are employed.

TWMA’s CEO, Tony Branch said: “This exceptional performance reflects the commitment we have as a company to safety and is testament to everyone at TWMA for prioritising a safe working environment, every day. This achievement is the result of great teamwork and everyone should be very proud of this accomplishment.”

The announcement comes just weeks after TWMA’s Egypt operation celebrated eight year’s LTI free in May.

Mr Branch continued: “This is the second safety milestone we have reached within a matter of weeks and I would like to thank the entire team at TWMA for their ongoing commitment to staying safe.”

In 2018, TWMA launched its Stay Safe Programme designed to guide employees towards incident free operations. The programme empowers all employees to intervene whenever they see an unsafe act and has significantly contributed to TWMA’s strong safety culture.

Commenting on the Programme, Brian Scott, TWMA Group HSEQ Manager, said: “Introducing our Stay Safe Programme last year has successfully raised awareness of the risks present in everyday operations whilst highlighting the ways in which these risks can be mitigated. It is clear this programme has been fully embedded throughout the TWMA Group, and I’d like to thank everyone for their significant contribution towards maintaining our outstanding safety record and for continuing the focus to extend this excellent record in the future.”
